The time is almost here… the maple sap will be flowing! Your morning begins with the well sought-after unlimited buckwheat pancakes with real maple syrup at Cartwright’s Maple Tree Inn located in Angelica, NY. The next highlight is the beautiful Wadsworth Homestead in the heart of Genesee Valley in Geneseo. The Homestead is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and the oldest continually owned private estate west of the Hudson River. The Wadsworth Family played a significant part in American History; original furnishings, art and memorabilia are all part of the unique appeal of this historic home tour! You will be escorted through the house with stories about the pioneer brothers who settled Geneseo and the many famous people who visited. Our last stop, The Abbey of the Genesee, home to some 30 contemplative monks belonging to the Order of Cistercians of the Strict Observance also known as Trappists. There will be time to visit the chapel and shop in their newly renovated store where they are known for their Monks Bread. After our short and sweet day, we are homeward bound!
