Jewel of Wellsboro, the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon

October 5, 2020 $125.00 per person

This morning our travels takes us to Millerton, PA, to Draper’s Super Bee Apiaries. Upon arrival you will not only be able to observe the bees but learn all the interesting facts about them from one of their skilled beekeepers. Time for sampling different types of honey and a visit to their store. On to the historic Penn Wells Hotel which marks their 151st year welcoming visitors to Wellsboro. Lunch will be in their restaurant, known locally as the Mary Wells Room. The highlight of our day will be a tour through the wondrous Pennsylvania Grand Canyon on a horse-drawn covered Conestoga wagon. Your guide will be fluent in the history of the Canyon going back to the 19th century, telling their tales while the horses wind their way on the Pine Creek Rail Trail. Take a step back in time, while enjoying everything the canyon has to offer!
